Gentleman Status Bowties LLC is a Handcrafted Bowtie Company in Durham, North Carolina. Established in 2019 by our Founder & Creative Designer Darius Long. A native of NC, he is an Art Education Graduate with background in Visual Communications from North Carolina Central University.
Darius combined his love for art, style, and bowties to create the brand! Darius is an Educator & Athletics Leader of 14 years, he and son Alexander live in the city of Durham, North Carolina. Durham, NC known nationally as the " The Bull City.", one of the original Black Wall Street cities in our nation. Darius connects with the city of Durham and Small Black Business Owners. Darius has embraced being a part of the "New Black Wall Street." His passion for sewing came from watching both of his late Grandmothers' Barbara Williams and Bernice Long sowing and knitting as a youth. The legacy and love of craft lives on through Gentleman Status Bowties LLC, and every handcrafted design.
